The Wing Assignment is an Arts Project open to Artists of all disciplines. The assignment is to create an artwork inspired by or using a birds wing.

ARE A FEW OF THE INGREDIENTS YOU WILL FIND IN NINA FARRELL’S WORK.Nina has been creating artwork in the darkroom, without the use of the camera, for over 15 years. “The darkroom is a sacred place, where I recreate the familiar into something new. I call it Darkroom sorcery.” Nina’s work involves a two-stage process. First of all in the darkroom, capturing shadows, silhouettes, reflections, form, movement, texture and colour onto light sensitive paper often simultaneously, accidentally or with expert precision. Then using digital manipulation to retouch, enhance or create a narrative from each photogram component.
