I stumbled across a Financial Times and it was the right balance between eye catching and thought provoking. I rather think the wings go with the FT too like a waistcoat and jacket.

I explored the idea of abstracting my wings from the bird (pheasant) while leaving them very much attached to something. I found the notion of the wings giving flight to something, in all forms, was too powerful to not play with. The more things i ‘attached’ my wings to, the more fun i had (the cat was an interesting one). I had thoughts of cartoon explosions…with wings. A human foot…with wings. Clean, cold, man-made shapes were also very provoking.
There is something very beautiful and finely crafted about wings. I especially love how for us to take flight as humans, we have spent billions on crafting materials to the exact form of wings which birds are born with.
